RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Dave joined the Greenrock team in 2000 bringing both an analytical and creative approach to developing investment research ideas and systems. When identifying investment opportunities, Dave focuses first on long-term growth drivers and their impact on the global economy and then hones in on the more specific. Dave’s skeptical nature drives him to identify potential weaknesses in any opportunity, mindful of the best interest of our clients’ portfolios.
Prior to joining Greenrock in 2000, Dave spent eleven years at Ellwood Associates, a national institutional and high net worth investment consulting firm, analyzing and organizing huge amounts of data to make it clear and useful to pension and endowment clients.
Dave is a family man who keeps himself busy on the weekends managing the sports schedules of three active boys and two very energetic dogs. He does, however, manage to escape to the golf course and is a passionate University of Wisconsin sports fan.
Fixed Income Research
Bob brought over four decades of experience in the investment industry to Greenrock when he joined the company in 2010. His primary focus throughout his career has been fixed income and alternative asset classes and he oversees those areas of investment research at Greenrock.
In 1985, Bob co-founded and co-managed the investment holding company, Pacific Asset Management Company, which absorbed PIMCO as a subsidiary and separately created Parametric, Cadence, NFJ, PM Realty, the PIMCO Funds. They also developed the industry’s second multi-period, strategic and tactical, asset-liability asset allocation model. Bob left to transition Driehaus Capital into an institutional momentum equity manager and founded Allegiance Capital to focus on an RIA client base. He and his partners built the company from a zero asset base to $5.5 billion and sold it in 2010.
When he’s not reading or writing about investments, Bob enjoys playing golf and softball.
Sales & Client Service
When Greg joined the Greenrock team in 2015, he brought over forty years of financial services industry experience with him. A common thread in Greg’s four‐decade career is his client centric and collaborative style. These qualities coupled with Greg’s acquired industry experience enables Greg to make a meaningful contribution to Greenrock’s clients and prospects. Greg joins us from TD Ameritrade Institutional where he spent the last ten years as a Vice President of Sales working with SEC registered RIAs. In this capacity, Greg was responsible for increasing clients’ net new assets at TD Ameritrade and for bringing actionable growth and practice management solutions to his RIA clients. Greg is a five‐time attendee of TD Ameritrade Institutional’s prestigious President’s Club event.
Greg began his career in the Employee Benefit Department of First Wisconsin Trust Company. He jokes that his career predates ERISA. Greg later served as the liaison between the portfolio management department and the institutional trust department’s large pension and profit sharing clients at Harris Bank. Greg then joined Continental Bank and collaborated with Hewitt Associates to build a daily valuation product for the bank’s large defined contribution client base which enabled Continental to successfully compete in the 401K arena. Greg left the chaotic consolidating banking industry and moved to RSM McGladrey where he developed and sold an investment advisory service for mid‐market 401K plans. As National Director of Fiduciary Services, Greg built a national sales team to sell Fiduciary Services to the firm’s 401K plan clients.
Greg is a long time resident of the Lincoln Park area of Chicago. Outside of the office, Greg divides his time among attending plays, traveling, and giving back to the community by volunteering at local charities.
